Dr. Hazim Moustafa, DO is a double board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine, specializing in the non-surgical treatment of orthopedic conditions and concussions. He cares for patients across all ages, from adolescents to geriatrics, with a focus on helping them recover, stay active, and prevent future injuries.
Dr. Moustafa earned his medical degree at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Christus Spohn/Texas A&M, serving as Chief Resident, Curriculum Chair, and Team Physician for Texas A&M athletics. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, working as a Fellow Team Physician for NCAA Division I teams, including football, basketball, soccer, and wrestling.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Moustafa holds a FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, has presented at multiple international conferences, and is a published author in Current Sports Medicine Reports. His work has included coverage of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, the New York City Marathon, and professional boxing and soccer events.
